Sometimes we like to get away to a quite place alone with God.Not far from our home there is a little chapel that you can stop by and go in and meditate and pray.I wanted to share this with you.It is a small chapel on the side of the road.It is very peaceful and a good place to talk to God.May God Bless.

Pilot Mountain State Park

We live in the middle of N.C. and recently visited Pilot Mountain State Park.I was born and raised not too far from here, but I have never been up to Pilot Mountain.We have passed the mountain on the highway many times but have never been to the top.The other weekend we decided to go on a picnic so that is where we went.I have been to many overlooks but have never seen one that is so beautiful.You could see for miles.We had a picnic and then went over to the town of Pilot Mountain to a car show and went through some antique shops.I want to share with you one of God's most beautiful masterpieces Pilot Mountain.Hope you enjoy.May God Bless.

I want to start by praising the Lord for all the blessings he gives me each day.I want to thank him for letting the door open for my husband to get a job after being layed off for two months.We have so much to thank him for.I love the songs God has been so good to me.The other song is even in the valley God is good.Sometimes we have trials that we don't understand and think will never end but God is right there with us.I thank him for his blessings when in the valley and the showers of blessings he gives me daily.

We were gone to Tenn.this year on my birthday for a job interview that my husband had.This is the first year this has ever happen.We have always done something special for each of our birthdays.As we were heading home the phone would ring every hour and my daughter wanted to know where we were at.So finally we arrived home to a house of balloons,a table set with candles,pretty dishes,a beautiful strawberry cake with cream cheese icing that my younger daughter had made.They had gotten each of us a ice cream sundae.My oldest daughter had made homemade chicken salad.There was cheerio chicken.I love cheerios.There was a ham platter.We had lemonade to drink.I was given a gift bag full of goodies.It was a big surprise.It was a Victorian tea party theme.It was all so beautiful and the food was very good..We sat and talked and had a good time together.I was glad to be home and see the girls.I missed them so much.I want to thank them both for making my birthday so special.I will always cherish what they done for me.Again thank you both.I love you both,you are two very precious young ladies that I am very proud of.May God Bless You Both. We are back home from Tenn.We were there last week for a interview that my husband had for a job.At this time we did not feel it was God's will for us to take the position.So we are happily back in N.C.We don't know what God has waiting for us but we know that he leadeth.It was a long trip but sometimes we are sent places where the door shuts,but we know that the right one will open soon.Keep us in your prayers.Have a great week and may God Bless each of you.

Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband of 33 years.Thank you for all the beautiful memories we have and many more to come.We had a quite day and grilled out for our anniversary.It was very nice.
We had a beautiful wedding 33 years ago today at 2:00 We had a church wedding.I used the pretty daisy flowers with the babies breath.The bridesmaid dresses were the summer colors and the ushers wore blue tucks.The wedding cake had pretty daises.We had peanuts,mints,and punch.We had a simple wedding and lots of love.I have had people to ask what makes a good marriage.It takes three.God,husband and wife.Always put God first and everything else will fall into place.

Today is a beautiful day.It is not very hot.Wondering what to cook tonight.Last night I had fish,green beans,and my watermelon.I finally got one.It was very good.I have done my exercising today.I am still on my diet.I have a long ways to go but God is with me.I have been going thought magazines and Internet trying to find foods that are quick and easy and good for watching weight.But when dieting you have to be careful because there are so many hidden ingredients like sugars,fats,flour,and on goes the list.I have posted some recipes on my cooking blog.I know the peanut butter pie is full of fat,but it is so good.I used to make them some.The recipe came from a friend who has now gone to be with the Lord. She was a very good cook.The Smoothies I have on there are not too bad on a diet if you use skim milk,the low fat yogurt with not too much sugar.Seems like all yogurt has some sugar.The fruits are healthy.My daughter and me made the strawberry banana smoothie last night.It was very good on a summer night.I was talking about sugars,you really have to be careful some foods are loaded with sugars even when they say fat free which that part is good.I do not buy sweets for myself,that is my weakness.Chocolate is really one of my favorites.So when you are shopping for groceries be sure and look at the labels.It takes time but it is worth it in the long run.We like to grill,if anyone has any good grilling recipes send them my way or any good recipes not just grilling.I know there are many good cooks out there in blogging land.Thanks.

Prayer Request:
As you know my husband has been layed off from his job.He has been on several interviews with no luck.Next week we will be traveling to Tenn.for a interview that he has.Please keep us in your prayers.This is a very difficult decision to make.We would be leaving family and friends we love dearly if he accepts the job.We are praying for God's will to be done wherever he may lead us.If anyone out there has ever had to transfer which I know there are many,please write me and give me some advice on what to expect or feelings you may have had.I am open to all advice.We have always lived in N.C.Let us also remember all the people around us who is going through the same situation.I know that there might be someone who may need advice too besides me.Let's all pray together for each other that God will meet all the needs around us.Even through the battles we are blessed.Have a great day.

Hope everyone is doing well.We are doing fine.It is very hot here in N.C.I have stayed indoors where it is cool.The weatherman says it is going to be a little cooler soon.I will be so glad.My husband has had several job interviews and has one next week.Continue to keep us in your prayers.We are praying God will send him the job that he wants him to have and that God's will be done in this situation.Through it all God has blessed us.I am so thankful that I serve a great big wonderful God who holds us up each day and knows our every need.Have a great day and God Bless.

How many of you have ever heard the Inspirations?I grew up listening to this group as a child.They are from Bryson City N.C.They will bless your heart.I love to hear them sing.I like to go back and listen to songs from years past.It brings back lots of childhood memories of gospel singings that I attended.I still have some of their albums back from the years before they came out with the CD's.I purchased a old fashion radio that looks like the one people would listen to after their evening meal at night.It has a record player.It reminds me too of the one people would listen to the Grand Old Opry on before they had TV to watch.The other night we did turn the TV off and listened to some hymns.It was fun and really relaxing.I put some video's on for your Friday night enjoyment.Have a great evening and God Bless.

It is a beautiful day in N.C.The weather is just right not too hot or cold.This morning my daughter and me went out and had a nice talk just sitting on the patio.It was a beautiful morning.We then made pasta salad with chicken.We added itailian dressing and put it in the frig,and chilled it for supper.It was very good.My husband had a job interview that went well.We will hear Mon.if he has the job.We pray God's will be done.Continue praying for us.As I look around each day God does send miricles.If we get up each day is one,if we have food and clothes to wear is another one.If we have good health is another one.We see all the beauty around us is one.There are too many to count.I am so glad God sents so many miricles our way we just have to be still in the quiteness for a moment and look around and see all the blessings around us.There are many.May God Bless each of you.
